Brian Andreas and his team of artists believe in the power of stories.
Brian Andreas made the first StoryPeople sculpture in 1993. Since then his art has sprouted many creative branches, shared many truths and reconfigured the way many people see recycled barn wood. Although Andreas travels much of the year, his woodshop and studio are located in downtown Decorah and it is from this anchor point that beautiful creations are shipped to over 300 galleries around the world.
StoryPeople's bright and quirky sculptures, prints, books and treasure boxes adorned with stories will probably make you smile, perhaps make you giggle, maybe make you cry, but will, most certainly, make you want to share. And just like all good stories, they will stay with you for a while.
In Northeast Iowa, you can find StoryPeople art for viewing and purchase at Agora Arts Gallery in Decorah, Iowa. Or stop in the downtown studio across the street and be blasted with creative energy.
